An accomplished litigator, Attorney Volkin has handled environmental, commercial, business tort, real estate, municipal and professional liability litigation. Since becoming affiliated with Fitzhugh & Mariani LLP, Attorney Volkin has handled various matters for both small and large corporations, banks, and businesses, including cases involving the UCC, CERCLA, M.G.L. c. 21E, M.G.L. c. 93A, MTCA, the Lanham Act, the Sherman Act, shareholder derivative suits, contract actions, toxic torts, tort actions against professionals such as real estate brokers and corporate directors and officers, and actions against secured property.

A former United States Navy Judge Advocate, Attorney Volkin previously litigated a significant number of courts-martial and administrative hearings, and defended the U.S. Navy in civil lawsuits.

Attorney Volkin has had numerous cases disposed of at summary judgment including a well publicized landlord-guest action involving the death of a student during an off-campus fight with a tenant on the landlord's premises a summary judgment in an action against the directors and officers of a corporation against an allegation of a freeze-out by a minority shareholder, and in favor of a major petroleum company in a 21E case involving underground storage tanks abandoned on a site purchased by the plaintiff.
